The base must be dry, solid, free from dust, dirt, oils, paint, residue of chalk and lime mortars. To increase the strength of adhesion of the material to the base, it is necessary to treat the surface with one or two layers of a deep penetration primer, while uneven and highly absorbent bases should be covered in several layers. Dust pollution of primed surfaces should be prevented. In the room where the works are carried out, draughts and direct sunlight should be avoided. While the works are carried out, the temperature in the room should be not lower than +5°С.

To prepare the mortar, only clean containers, tools and water should be used. It is forbidden to introduce any additional components to the prepared mortar. To prepare the mortar, pour the contents of the bag into a container with clean water
(0.6-0.65 L per 1 kg of dry mix) and stir for 2 minutes until smooth. Let the mortar settle for 5 minutes and stir it again. Stirring is performed mechanically using a professional mixer or an electric drill with a mixing paddle. Manual mixing is allowed when the weight of mix to be added to water does not exceed 1 kg. The prepared portion of the mortar must be used up within 40 minutes of work; it is necessary to additionally stir the mixed mortar without adding any water. 

Apply the mixed mortar of the Universal Smart Gypsum Plaster in portions (one trowel) along the sheet in one row in its center with an interval of 35 cm around the perimeter with a minimum interval. Press the panel to be installed tightly against the base and with light taps, using a rail, set it in a single facing plane. The position of panels can be adjusted within 10 minutes after applying the Universal Smart Gypsum Plaster mortar mixture. When mounting mineral wool slabs, it is necessary to first trowel the entire surface of the slab with a thin layer of the Universal Smart Gypsum Plaster mortar. While applying the Universal Smart Gypsum Plaster mortar to the surface of GWB (gypsum wall boards), GFS (gypsum-fiber sheets), gypsum panels, decorative elements and insulating materials, it is forbidden to add water or dry mix to the mortar! 

When installing TGPB (tongue-and-groove partition blocks), the Universal Smart Gypsum Plaster mortar is applied into the groove of the bottom row of blocks and into the vertical end groove. Any excess mortar is immediately removed for future use. Once the installation of the partition block is complete, the surface irregularities are sanded or filled with putty.

First, fill in dents, cracks and surface irregularities, then apply the primary layer of the material on the surface to be treated, and level it with a steel trowel. Holding the trowel at an angle to the base while applying strong pressure, carefully spread the mortar over the surface with vertical or horizontal movements until the desired layer is achieved. If necessary, the mixture can be applied in several layers. Before applying the next layer, the surface of the completely dried previous layer should be primed. During the drying process, do not use forced drying of the treated surface. To achieve a smooth surface, grinding is not required, but if necessary, it is ground with “zero grit” sandpaper, a grater or other grinding tool.

Once all the works are finished, the tools should be immediately washed with water.
