On September 15-17, Moscow hosted a technical conference of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) on the topic:: "Technologies for drilling and finishing horizontal, multi-barrel wells and wells with a large deviation from the vertical". It was attended by more than 100 specialists from leading service companies and subsurface users of the Russian Federation, Europe, Asia and the USA, such as Rosneft, Gazprom, Novatek, Schlumberger, Halliburton, Tatneft and others.
Within the framework of this event, the Samara Gypsum Plant together with its partner CJSC Spetstsementservis (Yekaterinburg) made a presentation on the topic "Experience in the development and implementation of grouting materials for casing cementing in permafrost intervals". In the course of the report, the conference delegates were presented with the results of using special CemFrost cements for fixing wells in permafrost conditions based on Grouting gypsum used at the Bovanenskoye oil and gas field and the Vostochno-Urengoyskoye field.
This presentation attracted the increased attention of experts interested in the development and use of effective materials in the field of well anchoring.
As a result of the event, agreements were reached on testing samples of Arctic cement CemFrost for further pilot work.
