USG and XL Brands announce partnership
Leading construction materials manufacturer USG Corporation (NYSE: USG) has announced a strategic partnership with XL Brands, the largest privately owned flooring manufacturer in the United States. The partnership will involve close collaboration in developing new technologies for the flooring and self-leveling floor industry.
USG and XL Brands intend to focus on providing end-to-end solutions for their industry. The collaboration between USG and XL Brands will focus on products already in use and well-established, including well-known USG brands: Levelrock and Durock, with the goal of creating a " union of unsurpassed quality, efficiency and value." These new technologies will primarily be aimed at meeting the needs of customers looking for solutions to problems that require the installation of self-leveling floors in difficult conditions. USG and XL Brands will provide solutions related to the problems of high humidity in the room and non-standard substrate, with special requirements for the solidification time and durability of the coating.
