Cement tile adhesives: the CCC trend in Europe
Tile is a diverse and versatile material; it not only decorates surfaces, but also gives them water-repellent properties, strength, durability and makes them easy to clean.
That is why tile has been a very popular material for covering floors and walls all over the world for centuries.
Today, the popularity of this material is increasing, especially in developing regions. As time went on, not only did the color, shape, and pattern of the tile change, but so did the manufacturing technology and materials used to create a strong bond between the tile and the floor or wall surface.
Currently, there are many different additives that improve the quality of adhesives, and the technology and materials differ depending on the region. In order to obtain information about the heterogeneity of markets and the level of technology on a global and European scale, the German WACKER group conducted a study of the European market for cement tile adhesives (CPC). The aim of the study was not only to learn more about the needs of the tile market in the past, present and future, but also to collect information about the degree of market maturity, as well as differences in technique and technology.
The results of the study were translated into Russian and published by the industry journal "ALITinform".
