Opening of the exhibition "Domestic Construction Materials 2016"took place
The participants and guests of the Forum were addressed with welcoming words:

Ilya Chigir read out a welcome address from Gleb Nikitin, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, which highlighted the need for domestic competitive products applicable in modern industrial and civil construction: "The prospects and opportunities for the development of the industry are closely related to import substitution of production equipment and raw materials, restoration of domestic industry science, use of the best available technologies, increase in the use of waste instead of natural raw materials and energy resources."
In his speech, Ilya Chigir expressed confidence that fruitful joint work within the framework of the exhibition will create an additional impetus for the development of the industry and will contribute to the implementation of the import substitution policy. At the end of his speech, he wished mutually beneficial cooperation and new achievements to Russian manufacturers.
Nikolay Tsyganov, member of the Presidium and Chairman of the Construction Committee of the All-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized businesses "Opora Rossii", spoke on behalf of the association's President Alexander Kalinin.
He congratulated the organizers and participants on the opening and stressed that it is an open and competitive market that is the main driver for the development of the industry: "The presence of such a market in the country is very important. Russia is best symbolized by the exhibition "Domestic Construction Materials-2016".
Mikhail Tolkachev noted that the exhibition was first opened in 1999, when the market was full of imported goods. Today, during the implementation of the import substitution program, the exhibition has not only retained, but also increased its relevance.
More than 230 companies from all over the world will present their state-of-the-art products for four days from January 26 to 29 as part of OSM-2016. The OSM business program will include conferences, seminars and master classes on modern methods of using building materials.
