Samara Gypsum Plant at the Russian Technical Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition on exploration and production SPE ROG 2014

SGC specialists pay great attention to scientific research and new developments in the industries that our products are focused on. Thus, on October 14-16, the V Russian Technical Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition SPE, one of the most significant events in the oil and gas sector, was attended to exchange experience. According to the organizers, the conference was attended by more than 3,500 technical specialists and scientists. More than 160 reports on the most pressing and significant problems of the oil and gas industry were presented for discussion.

The conference consisted of 3 plenary sessions devoted to the integrated development of new fields in Eastern Siberia and Yamal, new approaches and technologies for maintaining production for fields at a late stage of development, and hard-to-recover and unconventional reserves. The plenary sessions were followed by technical sessions covering a wide variety of aspects of oil production.

Simultaneously with the conference, VDNH also hosted an exhibition featuring such giants as Gazprom Neft, Tatneft, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, UC Burtechnologii, Akzo Nobel, and KCA Deutag. The organizers ' boon was to hold small presentations in the exhibition hall to share knowledge in various areas of oil and gas production, which anyone could visit. 

The conference also included such events as a Round Table on Industrial and Environmental Safety, the SPE Regional Awards ceremony for outstanding achievements in the oil and gas industry, a special technical session for young professionals and the Energy4Me seminar, organized for teachers of secondary schools and aimed at attracting the younger generation to the industry.
