Construction materials market in 2013
Within the framework of MosBuild 2013, the most current trends in the construction materials market, their causes, their significance and their future were discussed. Innovative products and solutions that will be introduced to the market by leading construction companies in the very near future were considered. So, which building materials will be most in demand in 2013?
Alexander Tananaev (Saint-Gobain): "If earlier people worked with what is available, paying attention only to quality. Now, the market has grown enough, technologies have improved and the consumer has begun to understand that there are a lot of high-quality materials, but among them there are materials with unique properties, " the head of the ISOVER product development department estimates the current demand for thermal insulation materials.
Yulia Borisova (Braer): "Customers are increasingly focused on purchasing energy-efficient building materials, such as wood and ceramics. In other words, gas-foam concrete, competitive materials, are gradually falling by the wayside."
Andrey Chuturov (Paroc): "General contractors tend to minimize costs and try to use the cheapest possible materials and, very often, with a drop in quality. But if the project has good author supervision by the design organization, and the architect defends his design decisions, then the general contractor will be forced to follow the path indicated by the architect."
