Gypsum world news

In modern construction, in the production of interior works, pazogrebnevye plates (PGP) occupy an increasingly important place along with more traditional plasterboard sheets. Undoubtedly, this is one of the best materials for the construction of wooden walls and internal partitions. Pazogrebnevy plates are made without application of any additives harmful to health, from the gypsum known for the excellent ecological indicators. As a rule, the only additive used to improve the performance of pazogrebnevyh boards are completely safe plasticizers that improve the strength, durability and reliability of products.

Pazogrebnevy plates are endowed with all the same advantages as plasterboard sheets-effectively resist fire, do not emit toxic substances and dust, do not have an odor, do not conduct electricity, have a high coefficient of gas permeability, that is, they are well ventilated. In addition, PGP perfectly performs a sound-insulating function, does not give in to deformation and rotting in conditions of humidity fluctuations — and in these indicators they are superior to drywall.

The obvious advantageous difference between pazogrebnevyh boards and plasterboard boards is the presence of a special groove at the ends of the plates, which greatly facilitates and accelerates the installation of light walls and internal partitions.

GWPs are divided into two classes — standard and moisture-resistant. Both are based on building gypsum, have equal weight, density and compressive strength, and are usually produced in the same configuration and size. The only difference between them is the degree of water absorption. For conventional cookers, it is usually about 25%, and for moisture-resistant ones-only 5%, which allows them to be used in conditions of higher humidity and in conditions of frequent changes in humidity.

In addition, there is a division of pazogrebnevyh plates into solid and hollow-the latter, while preserving the advantages of the full — bodied version as much as possible, have a lower weight (the difference is about 25%). In addition to weight, the advantage of hollow slabs is a greater degree of sound insulation. But, of course, if the strength of partitions is primarily important in the task facing builders, then you should give preference to the full-bodied version of pazogrebnevyh plates.

Structures made of pazogrebnevyh plates are both single and double. The first one is used to quickly separate the room with a light partition, the second one is used if engineering communications should be laid in the wall. In addition, double partitions have more noise insulation.

Installation of pazogrebnevy plates in a typical situation is made as follows::

  1. Before installing the plate, it must be kept for about four hours in a room with a temperature of at least 5 C. This will allow you to adapt the plates to the conditions of the room in which the partition will be built.
  2. The walls, floor and ceiling adjacent to the future partition should be completely cleaned of dirt, and the existing irregularities should be eliminated with a cement-sand mortar.
  3. To connect the plates, an adhesive solution is used, made from a standard mixture at the rate of 1 kg per 500 ml of water.
  4. To increase the degree of sound insulation, it is recommended to install the lower row of pazogrebnevyh plates on an elastic gasket. In addition, the pazogrebnevye plates should be mounted only when the adhesive composition is fully set. To ensure that the glue is evenly distributed, it is recommended to install the PGP with the groove facing up. When installing the first row, the adhesive is applied to the elastic band and in the end slot.
  5. The next rows must be mounted with an alternating horizontal offset of half the length of the plate. When laying, the adhesive mixture is applied to the grooves of both the lower and upper rows.
  6. The thickness of seams, both horizontal and vertical, should not exceed 2 mm. A rubber hammer is used to monitor compliance with this standard. Also, when installing pazogrebnevyh plates widely used construction level required to check the flatness of the wall.
  7. To increase the strength of the partition, special fixing brackets are used, installed on the enclosing structure and fixed in the grooves of the plates. To strengthen the inner corners, a reinforcing tape is used, which is sunk into a layer of adhesive mixture, after which the surface is leveled with putty.
  8. After the actual installation of the partition is completed, putty and primer are applied, after which the wall is ready for decorative design.
