Overview of the Ukrainian gypsum mixes market

According to a recent assessment of experts, the market volume of dry building mixes based on gypsum in Ukraine today is about 700 thousand tons per year. In 2012, its growth was 15%, and in 2013, according to experts, it will be 10%, that is, it will grow to 770 thousand tons. The main manufacturers note this growth rate already based on the results of the first quarter.

While on the Ukrainian drywall market, on the contrary, this year there is a decrease in production volumes, and last year the figures remained at the level of 2011. According to a representative of one of the market leaders, at the moment enterprises do not see development potential in the production of drywall.

Perhaps this is due to the fact that the construction industry of Ukraine in recent years has not shown growth in general, which is reflected in the construction materials market.
