Nanotechnologies in the field of CCC and modifying compounds
Ulyanovsk Nanotechnology Center (Ulyanovsk Technology Transfer Center) presented innovative solutions of its technology companies: modified concretes, liquid building mixes, paint and varnish materials, thin-film coatings for architectural glass and structural building materials.
Of particular interest are high-tech hydrophobic materials. One of the nanocenter's technology companies, LKM Povolzhye, has developed a flexible thermal insulation plaster based on nanomodified titanium oxide and a micro-marble filler. It allows waterproofing concrete, brick and roof coverings on steep facades and at the joints of buildings. It is possible to apply plaster on horizontal surfaces where water sludge is formed. Innovative plaster is resistant to deformations during building shrinkage, highly adhesive, does not absorb moisture, is resistant to atmospheric phenomena, cold and wear.
In turn, the International Innovative Nanotechnology Center presented high-tech solutions in the field of "smart" coatings and energy collection and storage systems. The nanostructured hydrophobic compounds developed by him are designed to protect any facade building materials, including stone, wood and glass, from water, dirt and grease, and add water-repellent, antiseptic and protective properties to the materials. Water and dirt, falling on the surface treated with nano-composition, roll off it, leaving no traces. These compositions are developed taking into account the Russian operating conditions of materials: they are resistant to low temperatures (similar technologies developed abroad do not work at temperatures below +5 degrees), can be applied to surfaces at temperatures up to zero. In addition to the main function, the compositions from the nanotechnology center give materials the effect of anti-glue and anti-graffiti, as well as simplify the removal of ice.
Currently, other high-tech and nanotechnological products are being actively developed in the field of dry building mixes, modifying additives and compositions. According to the plans of the development companies, innovative technologies should become closer to the end user in the coming years.
