Large-scale project of gypsum production complex in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan Capital Restructuring Fund (ADM KCRF) has invested in the construction of a new gypsum plant under the State Program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development. Construction will be carried out by JSC "Zhambylgips".
"This is the first time such a production complex is being built in the former Soviet Union. The plant will produce 600 tons of gypsum every day, 15 cubic meters of expanded perlite every hour, 7 tons of calcite flour, 30 tons of dry building mixes," said Kainarbek Kusayynov, President of Zhambylgips JSC. He also noted that perlite (a sound-and heat-insulating material used to lighten building structures) will be produced for the first time in the country. The new plant is scheduled to be launched at the end of 2015. With reaching the designed capacity, Zhambylgips will increase its capacity by 6-8 times. At the same time, 50% of these products will be exported.
The transaction was carried out in accordance with the long-term modernization strategy of Zhambylgips JSC, which was launched in 2007. Zhambylgips is a leading company in the Kazakhstan market for the production of gypsum products with a clear development strategy, which served as the basis for financing the enterprise by the fund, " said the director of ADM Capital (managing company of the ADM KCRF fund). Орынбасар Куатов. The investment will be used to expand existing production facilities by purchasing a new generation of gypsum calcining equipment.
One of the priority areas of Zhambylgips is the search for new technologies for the production of high-quality products. To this end, the company allocates the necessary financial resources for research and development, equipment modernization and innovation.
According to Borisbiy Zhangurazov, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazyna Capital Management (KKM), funds created with the participation of KKM and foreign investors contribute to the implementation of the State Program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development. Along with capital, portfolio companies of the funds receive advice on the implementation of international business standards. Currently, funds with KKM participation are in the investment period, which implies an active search for companies to invest capital. The potential volume of investment in the Kazakh economy by the funds is about 200 billion tenge.
