Results of the BaltiMix 2014 conference: Dry building mixes for the XXI century: technologies and business

The fourteenth international specialized industry conference BaltiMix "Dry building mixes for the XXI century: technologies and business" has finished its work. As always, the event brought together the most active and reputable participants of the CCC market. This year's conference was held in St. Petersburg and became the largest in its history, both in terms of the number of participants and reports, and in terms of the geographical scope of participating enterprises and organizations. A total of 140 companies from different regions of Russia, China, Canada, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Finland, Turkey, and Switzerland participated in the conference. The number of delegates exceeded 250 people, among them were leading specialists and top managers of manufacturers of various CCC applications, equipment for the production, packaging and application of CCC, mineral and chemical raw materials, containers and packaging. In addition to manufacturers, representatives of industry research institutes, universities, laboratories and testing centers participated in the conference. Representatives of major distribution companies directly influencing the Russian CCC market were also present.

The program turned out to be dense and rich: during the 3 days of the conference, 35 reports, presentations and messages were announced, which can be divided into the following blocks: production and technical, chemical and technological, analytical and marketing.

As part of the first production and technical information block this year, suppliers of equipment for the production, packaging, palletizing, storage of SSS, as well as mechanization tools for working with SSS at construction sites were particularly active. Russian and foreign companies such as m-tec and GC ORTIZ, LAHTI PRECISION Oy, ERISIM MAKINA, MK VSUG, HAVER, Solex Thermal Science, Renolit-Rus (RKW), Maschinenfabrik Mecllers GmbH, Boymer, Technopribor, PARGET MAKINA, Roxor Industry (Goldpack), Stroymekhanika, Kurgan Machine-Building Plant of Conveyor Equipment, OMS Systems.

The chemical and technological information block of the conference was adequately presented by such well-known industry companies as JV "ETC", "SI Pi Kelko Ai Pi Es", Plast-Rifey, Colorit-Mechonochemistry, Organik Kimya, Eurochem-1. Such companies as Samara Gypsum Plant, Sibelko Rus, Minresurs, Remiks, Dow Chemicals, Ashland presented their best products, materials and technologies used in the CCC industry. As part of the research message block, the results of their research were shared with the delegates by regular participants of Baltimix'a: Svetlana Savkina, Head of the Technical Marketing Department of JSC Holsim (Rus) SM, as well as one of the most authoritative and respected speakers of the conference-Jurgen Eknik, Managing Director of PSA Zurich Agea GmbH (Switzerland), who invariably performs all his speeches in Russian. The Moscow State University of Civil Engineering demonstrated its serious scientific school. Representatives of the Research Institute of Building Materials and Technologies of MGSU spoke about their research in the field of fillers for the design of special-purpose structures, as well as about the results in the field of climate testing of facade systems, where they outlined the methodology for assessing their durability and efficiency. Andrey Petrovich Pustovgar, Scientific director of the Research Institute of Construction Materials and Technologies of MGSU, Vice-rector of MGSU, scientific director of the BaltiMix conference, summed up the speeches of his junior colleagues, who told the audience about the formation of a strategic research plan for the Construction and Architecture technology platform.

Traditionally, the high interest of the audience was attracted to the block of reports and messages devoted to the analysis of the market situation. Thus, representatives of Kerneos presented their vision of "CCC market Trends outside of Russia". Zhao Zhenglin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of one of the leading Chinese CCC companies, followed up their presentation on the CCC market in China. Evgeny Botka, head of the Construction Information Agency, evaluated the results of the first half of the year and gave his forecasts regarding the short-term development prospects of the Russian CCC market. His colleague Natalia Skorokhodova made a report on the market of external thermal insulation systems, focusing on its plaster segment.

At the end of the conference Irina Utarbayevna Aubakirova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Head of the SPsUACE Testing Center informed the conference participants about the implementation of the program for developing new GOSTs for the CCC and making changes to existing standards. Further, an extended meeting of the Working Group on the development of a set of national and interstate standards for CCC was held, during which they discussed in detail all the amendments proposed by specialists of industry companies to the draft GOST " Dry construction adhesive mixtures on cement binder.
