FORMAN gypsum boards-achievements of 2014
Last month, Stroitelnaya Informatsiya (Saint Petersburg) presented to the construction community the annual report "Gypsum and gypsum building Materials Market of Russia", which, in particular, examines the general state, main trends, as well as the leading players in the domestic market of pazogrebevyh gypsum boards (PPP).
According to the results of 2014, gypsum boards under the FORMAN trademark confidently entered the top 5 largest manufacturers in Russia.
According to the report, in 2014 the market of pazogrebnevy plates showed growth: about 14.6 million m2 of plates were issued, that is, by 23% more than in 2013. At the same time, PPP is currently produced at no less than 29 enterprises in the Russian Federation, and the largest number of large producers is concentrated in the Volga Federal District (PFD), which is home to the Samara Gypsum Plant. Last year, in the Volga region, two more manufacturers with significant capacities started producing slabs – in the Saratov Region, a line at the Weissbau plant was launched, and in Bashkortostan, the Sandinsky Gypsum Plant began production of gypsum boards. Competition in the Volga Federal District is growing, but despite this, the market share of plates for FORMAN TM has grown to 5%, and the plant has risen to the fifth place in the rating of GWP producers (according to the results of 2013, it occupied only 10th place). In quantitative terms, in 2014, the volume of production of slabs under the FORMAN SGK trademark amounted to 696 thousand m2.
The reason for this growth can be called both the quality of the plant's PPP products and the competent marketing policy of the enterprise. So, initially in the assortment there were only full-bodied, standard and moisture-resistant pazogrebnevye plates, size 600*300*80 and 600*300*100mm. However, in 2013, the European 667*500*80mm GWP production line was launched under the FORMAN brand, and the production capacity increased by 415 thousand m2. FORMAN brand GWPs are available as standard, as well as moisture-resistant, full-bodied and hollow. In addition, SGK CJSC is one of the seven manufacturers in the Russian Federation that produce plates with a thickness of 100 mm. In general, slabs of this format account for 6% of the total production of gypsum boards in Russia.
The company's pricing policy also supports stable demand: despite the change in the economic situation, the plant did not increase the selling prices for GWP, despite the increase in the cost of imported hydrophobizers, as well as rising prices for gas, electricity, steam, etc.
In 2015, SGK CJSC started supplying slabs to non-CIS countries, where their quality is already beginning to win over builders from other countries.
The company's plans are no less ambitious: SGK plans to start producing an additional 500 thousand m2 of high-quality gypsum boards using imported equipment in 2016, contributing to an increase in construction volumes using modern environmentally friendly materials.
